Lee Howell: Goldilocks Caricature Project

This project started life as a quick one day of fun in the studio, the requesest was to photograph thirty complete strangers in the vasinity of the studio, ask them to pull a face of over exaggerated emotion and see what we got.

In two one hour sessions we managed to take five shots of each sitter, who were all really good sports and went along with the whole thing very well considering we had never met them before.

Once captured I set about making our sitters into caricatures of themselves, almost cartoon in nature, there is certainly a comedy element to them.

This project soon led on to the production of the final composite image of Goldilocks, as the one sitter we photographed just fitted the bill so well...

It always suprises me where this passion takes you sometimes....
